Altroke Sladka Istra
On Saturday, 13 September 2025, Koper will once again host the sweetest event of the year – Altroke Sladka Istra! The traditional sweets festival Sladka Istra merges again with the Altroke Istra Gourmet Festival, bringing together the best desserts and local flavors in one place.
Over 80 stalls on Ukmar Square will tempt you with:
Traditional Istrian sweets – fritule, hroštoli, Koper doughnuts, apple strudel and other homemade treats
Modern pastry creations by top confectioners
Sweet wines, honey products and savory specialties – truffles, prosciutto and seafood dishes
A vibrant entertainment program and a magical children’s area will add extra charm and fun to the festival.

Altroke Istra gourmet festival – Škofije
The August edition of Altroke heads to a unique borderland location – the village of Škofije – where the evening will celebrate the heritage of the Kaštelirs, from prehistoric settlements to modern Istrian flavors on your plate. Through the accompanying program, visitors will explore ancient stories and discover how today’s cuisine draws inspiration from Istria’s rich cultural roots.
Visitors will enjoy creative dishes made from fresh, local ingredients that blend traditional roots with modern Istrian flair. The evening’s highlight will be a live performance by Istrian music legend Tulio Furlanič, whose timeless songs like “Vino, vino,” “O ženske, ženske,” and “Anita ni nikoli” will fill the night with nostalgia, joy, and singing under the stars.
Visitors from Koper can hop on a free shuttle, making it easy to relax and enjoy the evening without worries.
Music BiCycle: Concert Bend-it! Orchestra
Bend-it! Orchestra are both professional and trainee musicians, which allows for a mutual transfer of knowledge and energy that the musicians feel when creating. It is this energy and their obvious love of making music together that inspires their audiences, who tirelessly support the band. The irreplaceable Manca Kozlovič regularly sings with Bend-it! Currently, they are preparing an explosive programme of the American funk band Tower of Power.
CAPRIS 2025 International Competition
The kayak sprint races are held on calm waters from Moleto to Žusterna.
Categories: cicibani, younger boys, older boys, younger juniors, juniors, members and veterans in single and double kayaks, also in mixed crews.
All winners (1st to 3rd place) in each discipline receive medals and the top three clubs receive trophies.
Sail the Slovenian coast with Zlatoperka
Enjoy a unique view of the Slovenian coast — from the sea! Between July 1st and September 7th, 2025, Zlatoperka will operate daily (except Mondays), offering two regular round trips on a circular route from Ankaran to Piran, with stops in all four coastal towns. Getting around the Slovenian Istria coast has never been easier — or more scenic.
Zlatoperka also carries bicycles, making it ideal for day trips, event-hopping, or combining your ride with local cycling routes and seaside exploration.
St Nazarius Fair
1500 years ago in June, the citizens of Koper celebrated their patron saint, St Nazarius. On this festive day, the city was decorated with lavender and its special scent gave a festive touch to the city. The townspeople sold lavender bouquets and the typical ‘bussolai’ cookies. On this day, there was also a St Nazarius fair and a procession through the streets of Koper with the saint’s relics. This year, this important event and rich tradition will be revived on 15 and 16 June.
