Terms and conditions

These Terms and conditions apply to all guests who book their stay at Villa Domenico. In the event of a conflict of rules between these Terms and conditions and house rules as published on other rental platforms (Booking, Airbnb, etc.), or in case of ambiguity, these general terms and conditions as published on the website <www.villadomenico1790.com> shall prevail.

The Slovenian language version of these Terms and conditions shall be controlling in all respects and shall prevail in case of inconsistencies with translated versions, if any.

Check-in and Check-out Times

Check-in is from 17:00 to 20:00 on the day of arrival.
Check-out is before 11:00 on the day of departure.

Booking Cancellation

The host retains the right to not provide reserved services to the client in exceptional circumstances (such as closure of the entire property (Holiday home Villa Domenico) due to organizational reasons or unexpected hindrances). The client will be informed accordingly 2 (two) days before the booked date. In such case, the client is only entitled to the reimbursement of amounts already paid and is not entitled to claim the reimbursement of any damages and/or additional amounts whatsoever.

Cleanliness and litter

Guests must not leave the listing in a state that requires excessive or deep cleaning (moldy dishes, soiled carpets, stains from pets, etc.). The cleaning fee set by the host is only meant to cover the cost of standard cleaning between reservations (laundry, vacuuming, etc.).

Guests should put their trash in designated trash receptacles and be mindful of excessive amounts of trash.

Damage

If the damage caused by the guests exceeds the normal wear and tear, they must inform the host as soon as possible and seek a reasonable solution together. If guests are liable for damage to property, its unlawful disposal or theft or for unexpectedly high cleaning costs, they must compensate for the damage caused in accordance with the general obligation rules as laid down by Slovenian law.

Parking

Parking in the house's car park is at the vehicle owners' own risk – the house accepts no responsibility for any damage that may be caused. House guests can use our car park free of charge.

Smoking

No smoking is allowed inside Villa Domenico (also: house hereinafter).

We do our best to make sure our guests are provided with clean rooms. In the event of smoking, you will be charged the cost of deep cleaning in the amount of € 200 (euros). In the event of considerable stains or damage to the house's property, you agree to a cleaning fee of a minimum of € 150 (euros).

Pets

No pets allowed.

The owner will refuse or prohibit the stay at Villa Domenico to guests who do not comply with this rule, all without the possibility of a refund of the accommodation payment or reimbursement of any damages and/or additional amounts whatsoever.

Parties and events

No parties or events allowed.

Unregistered guests

No unregistered guests allowed.

If the booker shows up with guests that are not in the booking, the owner will refuse or prohibit the stay at Villa Domenico to guests who do not comply with this rule, all without the possibility of a refund of the accommodation payment or reimbursement of any damages and/or additional amounts whatsoever.

Illegal substances

No illegal substances allowed on the premises. All violations will be promptly reported to law enforcement.

Furniture

Guests must take care of the furnishings and not rearrange the furniture.

Hot tub use

Non-swimmers and children should not be left unattended. Children under 5 are not allowed to use a hot tub.

No eating or drinking in the tub and no glassware in or around the hot tub.

Guests should shower before using the hot tub to remove detergents, cosmetics, and lotions from the body.

Do not add any products in the hot tub. If the water gets cloudy, has a faulty smell or is murky, call the owner immediately.

Maximum six people in the hot tub.

Use the cover and fasten it down when the hot tub is not in use.

Do not use the hot tub in a thunderstorm or in very windy conditions.

No electrical appliances near the hot tub.

Diving is forbidden.

Bathing is forbidden.

Do not use while under the influence of alcohol or sedatives.

Seek medical advice before using if pregnant, have health problems or are immuno-compromised.

Outdoor fireplace use

Use only dry firewood or charcoal. Never use flammable liquids such as petrol or alcohol.

Light the fire gradually and remain present as it starts to burn.

Never leave the fire unattended.

Keep children and pets at a safe distance.

Be aware of wind conditions – flying sparks or embers can be hazardous.

Use the provided tools (metal tongs, gloves) to handle hot surfaces or adjust wood.

After use allow the fire to burn down naturally.

Do not pour water over hot embers, as this may crack the stone and damage the structure.

Once the ashes are completely cold (usually the next day), you may dispose of them in the designated metal bin nearby.

Please clean the grill grate after each use using the provided brush. If you’d prefer us to clean it, let us know. A cleaning fee of 80 euros applies.

The fireplace is intended for outdoor cooking only. Avoid placing any flammable materials nearby.

Safe use of electric grill

Place the grill on a flat and stable surface, away from flammable materials, plants, wooden structures, or curtains.

Use the grill outdoors only. It is not suitable for indoor use.

Check the power cable before use. If it’s damaged or worn, do not use the grill. Contact us immediately.

Plug the grill directly into a wall socket. Avoid using extension cords unless they are waterproof and certified for outdoor use.

The grill becomes very hot during operation. Please use heat-resistant gloves and avoid touching hot surfaces.

Never leave the grill unattended while in use.

Do not overload the grill with heavy or excessively greasy foods, as dripping fat can damage the heating element.

After use, turn off the grill and unplug it. Allow it to cool completely before moving or cleaning it.

Clean the grill only once it has cooled down. Use the provided brush and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Do not use aggressive chemicals.

If something isn’t working properly, inform the owner immediately. Do not attempt to fix or dismantle the grill yourself.

Keys

Guests are given a set of keys at check-in. If any keys are lost, there will be a € 10 (euros) key charge or € 30 (euros) for the whole set.

Noise

Guests should respect designated quiet hours and should not disturb the surrounding community with a disruptive level of noise (loud music, shouting, slamming doors, etc.).

Commercial film and photography

Guests must not participate in film or photography that is intended for commercial use or profit, without prior documented permission from the host.

Prices

All prices are inclusive of VAT.

The tourist tax in the amount of € 2,50 (euros) per adult person per day, and € 1,50 (euros) per child between 7 and 18 years per day is not included in the price.
