A PLACE OF CALM AND SERENITY
Villa Domenico is set on the picturesque hillside of Sveti Anton, where the freshness of the green Istrian hills meets the warmth of the Adriatic. More than three centuries ago, Bishop Paolo Naldini described Sveti Anton as a blooming and pleasant hill, a character that still defines the place today. Shaped by limestone and flysch, the surrounding landscape unfolds in vineyards, olive groves and old Istrian villages, with beautiful views across the Bay of Koper.
INSPIRED BY NATURE AND LEGACY
Dating back to around 1790, the original stone house was built by our great-great-grandfather DomenicoTurco. He worked as a stone miner at night and spent his days building the house, creating a home for his wife and children through perseverance and hard work. Restoring and renovating the house was our way of honoring his effort and legacy. Inspired by the raw beauty of nature, we brought back the spirit of the original home as a quiet tribute to a time that shaped the landscape of the Istrian countryside. Istria is a land of stone, strong contrasts, and cultural crossroads. Here, stone, wood, and iron are the essential elements. They reflect the surrounding natural landscape and carry forward the legacy of those who came before us.

Our modern kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, oven, fridge, microwave, toaster, pans, and all necessary cutlery, making meal preparation easy and enjoyable. From the adjoining balcony, you can take in a beautiful view of the surrounding hills and charming hamlets.
Warm stone, carved wood and soft light set the tone for unhurried mornings and evenings spent unwinding. A generous shower, dedicated dressing table and direct access to the sauna turn everyday routines into a more considered ritual.

COURTYARD KITCHEN AND DINING UNDER THE STARS
A separate, fully equipped kitchen and dining room opens directly onto the courtyard, with a spacious table for six and its own wine bar. Dine indoors or just outside beneath the parasol, move easily between the kitchen and courtyard, and after dinner step straight into the hot tub for an evening soak and gaze at the starry night sky.
Enjoy the pastoral charm of our on-site hencoop, where a friendly flock of hens roams freely, providing fresh eggs daily. We call them our ladies.

Villa Domenico is best suited to couples, families and small groups seeking a peaceful and authentic stay. While children are always welcome, the house has not been specifically designed for young children and does not provide dedicated children's facilities or play areas.
On arrival, we will personally welcome you, introduce you to the house and share a few helpful recommendations before leaving you to settle in and enjoy your stay.
