It all began with the belief that the legacy and resilience of our ancestors should be honored and cherished. So we transformed this once modest Istrian country house that evolved with each generation into a boutique villa where guests can truly experience the Istrian warmth and spirit, connect with nature, and enjoy a stay rooted in tradition and genuine local hospitality. Villa Domenico is our way of keeping both history and nature alive, offering a warm, authentic home where timeless charm and quiet presence welcome every guest.

Built around 1790 by our great-great-grandfather Domenico Turco, the house was constructed by day while he worked in the nearby stone quarry by night. Centuries later a newer annex was added, blending with the original stone structure. Restoring and renovating this home was our way of honouring Domenico’s labour and care.

The renovation of the villa took us three years, during which we carefully preserved as much of its original character as possible. We used natural materials indoors to ensure authenticity while providing comfort and a sense of home. The work was demanding, requiring precision and dedication, but we remained uncompromising in our vision. Our goal was for our guests to feel at home while experiencing the authentic spirit of the Istrian land. The Terra magica.
